A big ad in every way and a lot of fun to make. The budget just for dressing the Oamaru streets in 1920s gravel would be more than many 2020s content budgets. This was when NZ still trusted Insurance companies to deliver.
Shot over Xmas/New Year 2000-2001 for Telstra, this was a fun job in every way and it took us to Argentina, NYC, Tokyo, Hong Kong, Sydney and back home to Queenstown. The shot out of the Soho Grand towards the WTC was prescient in a spooky way. The campaign also used "Like" 7 years before Facebook. We liked it.
A really simple idea that produced a likeable ad for a finance company. The performances were great, and the soundtrack by Andrew Keoghan is brilliant. Director Josh Frizzell.
This ad from about 1998 only played twice. Once as a paid media buy the second time as lead item on the 6PM news. Shock, horror…banned. But our clients at NZ Listener were pretty happy with the messaging in this and the rest of the campaign. Shot on 16mm, Dit Josh Frizzell.
Simple idea, great performances and a surprisingly brave client. Shame about the los res copy.

Lexi was one of several young CCF clients we visited at home to ‘audition’ for a TV ad. She was a force of nature, and the ad wrote itself.
Big old insurance ad. Director Josh Frizzell.
A very gentle, inclusive approach to a fairly hard-nosed category. This was the launch spot for F&P Finance’s Q Card. Dir Felicity Morgan-Rhind, Music Flip Grater.
